OVERVIEW

The professionally installed impermeable sealant for sheet pile.

Made by and for sheet pile professionals, WADIT® is the go-to sealant solution for projects where water leakage is a concern, such as dewatering cofferdams and barrier walls for site remediation. Sheet-Pile offers professional application by trained installation crews, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting seal for sheet pile interlocks every time.

The WADIT® system can be installed in any interlock type: hot rolled, cold rolled, O-Pile® or combined sheet pile. The discharge is typically zero when properly applied into the sheet pile interlock. Installation is priced per foot or meter of interlock and available globally.

WADIT Benefits

Certified technicians professionally install WADIT® to ensure the perfect seal every time. You can be confident that the quality of your project will never be compromised.

PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED AND CERTIFIED BY SHEET PILE LLC

No matter the climate, WADIT® can be applied, transported and stored in any weather condition, ensuring a fast and problem-free sealant application. Once installed in the sheet pile interlocks, no further action by the contractor is required. No special packaging or transport instructions are needed.

IMPERVIOUS TO WEATHER

WADIT® is non-toxic and made from sustainable, natural raw materials. Internationally lab-tested and certified, WADIT® is safe and can be used without any restriction in sheet pile wall interlocks for ground and surface water use.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

WADIT® has exceptional memory rebound properties. Conventional materials may harden like glass in temperatures of just 50°F (10°C). WADIT®, on the other hand, remains extremely flexible even in groundwater.

EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE

WADIT® performs in every environment, from the tropics to the arctic, where high pressure sealing is required with extreme temperature ranges. The longevity of your sheet pile project is guaranteed.

HIGHLY DURABLE

TESTED AND CERTIFIED

WADIT® fortifies your project. This real world and lab tested sealant keeps water out and protects against hazardous substances. Comprehensive third-party test data clearly states that the permeability of a sheet pile lock with WADIT® is zero because there is NO water flow through the sheet pile lock at five bars (-70 post) of differential water pressure. APPLICATIONS

Common Applications

FOR ALL SHEET PILE WALLS:

  • Temporary and permanent sheet pile wall constructions

  • Reduction of corrosion inside the interlock chamber

  • Wall constructions in soils that contain ground water, have the consistency of clay, or with small fine particle fraction (gravel-type soil)

  • Reduction of interlock friction that aids installation

FOR CHALLENGING APPLICATIONS:

  • Trenches in soil types with a high ground water level

  • Dam renovation work

  • Sealing of river banks

  • Delimitation of underground water courses in water protection zones

  • Sealing work on concrete and steel components

FAQs

  • When applied correctly by a professionally trained crew, WADIT® sealant is impermeable. After application, the contractor can proceed with sheet pile installation without any limitations, irrespective of the driving method or environmental conditions. Notably, WADIT® is the only sealant specially formulated to meet the precise requirements of sheet pile applications.

  • Upon completion of the installation, you will be provided with a WADIT® Test Report (WTR) encompassing installation particulars, along with a unique WADIT® certificate number for authentication purposes.

  • WADIT® is flexible and thus offers unique elasticity. Other swell type sealants material become rigid and fracture which may cause leaks. WADIT® tolerates torsion and movements in the sheet pile interlock maintaining an absolute seal.

  • In testing, the system was subjected to a maximum water pressure of 5 bar (= 500 kPa, or more than 130 feet of water pressure depth), which represents almost twice the safety margin over maximum water pressure levels measured in the past. It was the opinion of those administering the test that WADIT® likely could have withstood an even higher water pressure.

  • Yes. Utilizing WADIT® on sheet pile acts as a protective barrier against corrosion, effectively slowing down the oxidation process.
